Early voting in the 2019 elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the seventh convocation will run from 12 through 16 November.
Voting hours: from 10h00 till 14h00 and from 16h00 till 19h00.
Citizens unable to vote in their precinct of residence on Election Day can take advantage of early voting.*
Election Day is 17 November 2019.
Voting hours: from 8h00 till 20h00
A person is eligible to vote if:
s/he is registered in the voter register
s/he presents a valid identity document.
A ballot will be issued if a voter presents:
a passport
a military ID for conscripts
an official ID for public servants
a photographic pension certificate
a student card
a paper from the interior agencies for citizens who have lost their passport
a driver's license
A total of 5,831 polling stations have been set up in Belarus.
Early voting is not allowed at polling stations located at:
health centers
recreation resorts
holiday centers
hospitals and other healthcare institutions providing in-patient care
Voters fill in the ballot paper themselves by putting any mark (tick or cross signs) next to the name of the candidate of their choice.
If a voter puts marks in more than one box or does not mark any boxes at all, such a ballot paper is considered invalid.
The voter register includes about 6.9 million citizens.
*No official documents are required to confirm the reasons for the inability to come to the polls on election day.
