Belarus' central bank has decided to reduce the refinancing rate by one percentage point to 17% per annum as from 18 January.
The previous time the refinancing rate was changed was 17 August 2016:

16.04.2014 – 22.5%,
19.05.2014 – 21.5%,
16.07.2014 – 20.5%,

1.04.2016 - 24%,
01.05.2016 - 22%,
01.07.2016 - 20%,
17.08.2016 - 18%,
18.01.2017 - 17%.
The refinancing rate is the lending rate set by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus to regulate interest rates on the money market. The rate is the foundation for setting interest rates on operations meant to provide liquidity to banks.
