More than 100,000 babies have been born in Belarus every year since 2007.

Belarus has a record low infant mortality rate - about 3 per mille. The survival rate among extremely low birth weight infants (from 600g to 1kg) and low weight infants (1-1.5kg) is around 80%. This is the best showing among post-Soviet states and many European countries.

* The ratio of the number of births in a calendar year to the average population; measured in ppm, i.e. per 1,000 population.
