As of early 2017, there were 8,428.7 hectares of agricultural land in Belarus, which accounted for 40% of the country's territory (comparable to the size of Austria).
Agriculture and Food Ministry: 258,000 employers, 41,300 tractors, 9,900 grain harvesters.
Animal breeding: 4.2 million cattle, 2.7 million pigs, 44.3 million poultry
