Oktyabrskaya Street is a popular recreational spot for Minsk citizens and visitors. The Minsk city authorities have adjusted the Oktyabrskaya Street development plan. The buildings of the former yeast factory, metalworking plant and a tannery will be restored to host permanent and temporary museum and exhibition projects, arts studios, facilities and outlets catering to tourists and visitors of the future cultural center in Oktyabrskaya Street. Plans are in place to develop a multi-level parking lot along the railway, an exhibition and museum complex, a shopping mall and a sports and leisure center at the production buildings of the former MZOR machine tool plant.
