MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) - The main Easter service was held in the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Grodno on 11 April. Catholic churches conduct it on the evening of Holy Saturday. Traditionally, fires are set in front of the temples, from which Paschal candle - a large candle symbolizing the resurrection of Jesus Christ - is lit. Parishioners light their candles from the Paschal candle.
