On 15 June 1942, the Nazi carried out one of the largest punitive operations in the territory of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War. On that day, they burned down the village of Borki in Kirovsk District of Mogilev Oblast and several neighboring villages, killing more than 2,000 civilians.
