Retail trade up 2.9% in Belarus in January-July

MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – In January-July 2020 the retail trade was estimated at Br29.8 billion, up 2.9% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

Wholesale trade made up Br53.5 billion, or 92.3% as against January-July 2019.

One-day retail trade volume per capita came at Br14.9 while in January-July 2019 it amounted to Br13.9.

Retail trade outlets accounted for 91.6% of retail trade. In January-July 2020 they reported Br27.3 billion in retail trade volume, up 4.5% year-on-year in comparable prices.

In January-July 2020 the trade turnover of the public catering industry totaled Br1.3 billion, or 79.4% as against the same period of 2019 in comparable prices.
