Future Uzbek farmers gifted two tractors from Belarus president

MINSK, 3 July (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian head of state Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich has handed over two MTZ-82.1 tractors to the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in Uzbekistan told BelTA.

Keys to and documents of the tractors were presented to the institute's First Prorector, Professor Bakhadir Mirzayev. Representatives of the Tashkent agricultural machines factory and the company Planeta Servis (MTZ's official dealership in Uzbekistan) also took part in the ceremony.

The tractors were shipped to Uzbekistan to express gratitude for the medical goods Uzbekistan had donated to Belarus to help the latter fight the spread of the coronavirus infection.

The ceremony took place on the eve of Belarus' Independence Day.
