Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom seeks to advance cooperation with Ukraine

MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Companies affiliated with the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom seek to step up cooperation with Ukrainian partners, BelTA learned from the press service of Bellegprom.

“A delegation of the Bellegprom concern was on a two-day visit to Ukraine. During the visit, the delegation held talks with senior executives of the Ukrainian association of enterprises of textile and leather industry Ukrlegprom to discuss important cooperation matters, including ways to increase supplies. The parties decided to intensify cooperation between light industry enterprises of the two countries,” the press service noted.

The visit was organized with support of the Belarusian Embassy in Ukraine.

The Belarusian state light industry Bellegprom concern comprises 96 organizations, including 76 industrial companies (textile, sewing, knitting and leather-footwear industries). They account for 60% of the country's total light industry output and 21% of Belarus' total non-food production.
