Belarusian Industry Ministry enterprises urged to increase focus on export diversification

MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) - The enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry need to increase focus on export diversification, Belarus' Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Nazarov said when introducing new Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik to the ministry staff, BelTA has learned.

“The most important thing is export. It is time we moved away from dependence on one market - Russia. Moreover, the markets are slowly coming to life today," said Yuri Nazarov.

The deputy prime minister noted that the enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry make a special contribution to the economy as these are major companies, flagships that work in the Industry Ministry system. He emphasized the need to further increase the output.

Yuri Nazarov announced that the government will consider additional measures to minimize the impact of the pandemic on the economy soon, and noted the need to find suitable solutions.
