Belarus raises oil export duties

MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – On 1 September 2020 Belarus increased customs duties on oil and petroleum products, which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The decision was formalized by the Council of Ministers' Resolution No.503 of 27 August 2020, BelTA has learned.

The export duty on crude oil will make up $47.5 per tonne, up from $46.9.

The export duty on straight-run gasoline rose from $25.7 to $26.1 per tonne. The export duty on commercial gasoline, light and middle distillates went up from $14 to $14.2 per tonne. The same rate is applied to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised on 1 August. Then, they were also revised upwards.
