MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Belarus intends to expand trade with Serbia. Trade was in focus of a meeting between Belarus Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Vladimir Koltovich and Ambassador of Belarus to Serbia Valery Brylev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

Vladimir Koltovich and Valery Brylev discussed Belarus-Serbia cooperation, including political contacts, ways to increase bilateral trade, and priorities in other promising cooperation areas. The ambassador stressed the potential of private Belarusian manufacturers and noted that state-run enterprises should implement an active marketing policy in order to boost and diversify export of Belarusian goods to Serbia.

The parties agreed to organize a session of the Belarusian part of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Serbian commission on trade and economic cooperation at the end of September. Plans are also in place to inform Serbia about Belarus' position on the implementation of the agreements at the highest level.
