Vladimir Karanik appointed Belarus' Healthcare Minister

MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Vladimir Karanik Healthcare Minister, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Karanik was born in Grodno in 1973. He graduated from Grodno State Medical Institute in 1996.

In 1996-2011 Vladimir Karanik worked in different capacities at the Alexandrov National Research Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology. He worked as an intern, junior research associate, research associate of the thoracic cancer department, thoracic surgeon (head) of the national research center.

From 2011 till now he was head of the Minsk City Teaching Cancer Hospital.
