Tentative date set for Belarus-Russia summit talks

MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Vladimir Putin suggests holding a meeting on 25 December, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with representatives of the Russian mass media on 14 December, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko said that he was reported that “Vladimir Putin suggests holding a meeting in the Kremlin on 25 December to discuss the issues.”

As it was reported the so-called tax maneuver will be the key topic of the forthcoming meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. “The most important issue we have to deal with is an economic one, namely the tax maneuver,” he said. The head of state stressed that he was not going to resort to some trickery for the sake of personal gains and will not play games. “We need to develop the project of the Belarus-Russia Union State in a proper manner and only in the interests of Belarusians and Russians,” Alexander Lukashenko added.
