Talks between Lukashenko, Zelensky in progress for two hours

ZHITOMIR, 4 October (BelTA) – The narrow-participation meeting between Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky has been going on for two hours already, BelTA has learned.

The talks are taking place in the building of the Zhitomir Oblast State Administration.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky came to the Zhitomir airport to meet and greet the Belarusian head of state in person. The two leaders warmly welcomed each other and members of the delegations. The two presidents departed in the same car.

“Everything we will agree on will be fulfilled. I want to assure you that we will strictly honor our commitments,” the Belarusian leader said at the start of the talks.

The narrow-participation meeting will be followed by the talks with the participation of delegation members. After that, the two presidents will attend a plenary session of the 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine.
