Retirement pensions to increase by an average of 5% in Belarus in May

MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 107 "On Increasing Pensions" on 17 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

According to the document, retirement pensions will be indexed on 1 May 2023. A total of Br1.5 billion will be allocated for the payment of pensions in May, of which Br78 million will be additional expenses due to the increase in pensions in accordance with the decree. There are 2.3 million recipients of retirement pensions in Belarus.
