MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Scholarships of the President of Belarus will be received by 80 postgraduates in 2019. Alexander Lukashenko signed the corresponding decree on 18 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Among scholarship recipients are representatives of biological, technical, physico-mathematical, chemical, medical, agricultural, economic and humanitarian sciences, environment and sport.
Graduate students are writing theses on priority scientific areas. The results of research are showcased at national and international conferences, published in scientific journals, and used in manufacturing, medical practice, and the educational process.
“The decision to award scholarships is aimed at further training of highly qualified scientific workers, development of domestic scientific schools and support the research activities of talented young researchers,” the press service said.
