MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a decree on 20 June to raise pensions as from 1 July. The text is now available on the national legal information website law.by, BelTA has learned.
The decree provides for raising retirement pensions by recalculating them as from 1 July 2020 due to the growth of the country's average monthly salary. The actual earnings of pensions will be adjusted bearing in mind the country's average monthly salary, which was used during the previous recalculation of pensions with its size raised by 6%.
The expenses involved in implementing the decree will be covered by the state social security fund.
