MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree to confer the Order of Mother on 25 women from Gomel Oblast and Grodno Oblast for giving birth to and raising five and more children, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The award was conferred on women from all walks of life, including women working at woodworking companies, in the agricultural sector, education, healthcare and trade, and housekeepers.
Among them are janitor from Gomel Natalia Gatalskaya, kindergarten teacher from Gomel Anna Kovalyova, woodworker from Gomel Tatiana Kirilenko, vocational training college teacher from Novogrudok Elena Ivanova, worker at Smorgon Bakery Factory Olga Frolova.
