GRODNO, 24 April (BelTA) - The reason for Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko's visit to Grodno on 24 April was not just an ice hockey match, BelTA has learned.
“Not only hockey has become the reason for this trip. Pleasant things will be combined with the useful ones. The weekend program for locals is expected to be event-packed,” the Telegram-channel Pul Pervogo said.
As BelTA reported earlier, Aleksandr Lukashenko came to Grodno to attend the final of the 2022/23 Belarusian Extraleague between HC Neman Grodno and HC Metallurg Zhlobin.
The live broadcast footage showed that Grodno Oblast Governor Vladimir Karanik was sitting next to the president in the stands. The head of state's son, Nikolai Lukashenko, also attended the match.
