New director general of Vavilov Minsk Mechanical Works appointed

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko gave his consent to the appointment of Alexander Moroz Director General of Vavilov Minsk Mechanical Works - Managing Company of BelOMO Holding, BelTA has learned.

Previously, Alexander Moroz worked as first deputy director general of this plant.

Alexander Lukashenko demanded that Alexander Moroz-led company achieve good results by the end of the year. The president stressed: “If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. Ask the Industry Ministry, set them tasks on my behalf. We need results. This is a good company which can show results.”

The head of state also spoke resolutely against any corruption. As is known, the former director of the holding company was detained not so long ago. “The economic performance depends on sales of finished goods, product prices. They understated the prices as far as I remember this criminal case. They understated prices for BelOMO products and split the marginbetween themselves and consumers in Russia,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The head of state expressed hope that the company personnel will make proper conclusions, will not allow such facts again and will reach good performance level.
