MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has authorized the appointment of Sergei Chertkov as Director General of the Mogilev-based lift equipment manufacturing company Mogilevliftmash, BelTA has learned.
It is a promotion for Sergei Chertkov. He has been working as the company's deputy director general for commerce up till now.
The head of state noted he knew Sergei Chertkov's father – Valery Chertkov – very well. In his time Valery Chertkov was the head of Mogilevtransmash and president of the Mogilev Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. “He was a decent man. A true Belarusian. I would very much like you to work as well as he did,” Aleksandr Lukashenko told the new Mogilevliftmash head.
Boris Kovalevsky, the current head of Mogilevliftmash, has been fired after committing a corruption crime.
