MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – We are in a unique situation today. The world is undergoing unprecedented changes and it is very important for Belarus to find its place, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with representatives of major mass media outlets in Minsk on 9 July, BelTA has learned.
“What do we see in the world today? A redivision of the world order. It's not a division, it is a redivision. In this situation, it is important to answer the question where our place is,” the head of state noted. He called the current situation unique yet very difficult and dangerous. Balancing between these giants [world centers of power] is a very dangerous thing. But what can we do?” he noted.
The main task for the country's leader at this stage is to preserve the country independent, sovereign. “I do not want to see everything that we have created with our own hands collapse tomorrow, and that someone come and start to conduct experiments,” Aleksandr Lukashenko summed up.
