MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent congratulatory greetings to Belarusian Christians who celebrate Christmas on 25 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“These beautiful winter days are always illuminated by the expectation of a miracle. Following a good centuries-old tradition, believers take stock of their lives, learn to forgive, help those in need, open their hearts to true love, wisdom and grace,” the message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that in Belarus Christian values have long become spiritual bonds that unite representatives of various nationalities, create an atmosphere of mutual trust, support, tolerance, respect and hospitality, which Belarus is famous for.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone good health, happiness and prosperity. “May the light of the Christmas Star bring peace, harmony and hope today,” the Belarusian leader said.
