MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – While making personnel decisions, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told representatives of the local vertical of power to get rid of red tape and bureaucracy, BelTA has learned.
“Do not forget the lessons of past years. It all depends on you. You directly communicate with people. Remove red tape and bureaucracy from your behaviors and attitudes. You should not allow situations like the one that I have recently seen: journalists made a story on Sokol [a Minsk neighborhood outside the Minsk Ring Road, where problems with housing for large families were solved only after the intervention of the president]. Issues remain unresolved until the president comes down hard on someone,” said the Belarusian leader.
“If you have made a decision, make sure that it is carried out properly. The instructions of an executive must be strictly observed and implemented. Discipline is the reserve that we must utilize,” the head of state concluded.
