MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – Belarus needs leaders who can think outside the box and push entire industries forward, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he delivered his annual Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly on 31 March, BelTA has learned.
As the head of state noted, today is the time for initiative and action. “Only enthusiasts, leaders who can think outside the box are able to push industries and sectors forward. We need brave people who are not afraid to take responsibility, to go beyond instructions if this is needed. And if their courage and willingness to take risks do not pursue personal gain (you know what I'm talking about) and the result is appreciable, then this style of management will not be questioned by regulatory authorities,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
“I want to reiterate, we will take tough action to eradicate corruption in our country. Yet, effective prevention should be the centerpiece of measures to evaluate the work of a company chief or an industry chief. Everyone should understand this, especially those who carry out these inspections,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
