MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) – Non-sanctioned industries should ramp up output by 4-5% and operate to their maximum capacity, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the government meeting on 10 March, BelTA has learned.
“Oil refining, potash and tobacco industries have been hit by the sanctions much more than others. The goal for this year is the same – to restore production volumes and to find alternative markets for these products that are in demand in the world. All in all, the tasks for the manufacturing sector are the following: all non-sanctioned industries should ramp up output by 4-5% and reach the maximum level of capacity utilization,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
At the same time, those industries that performed well should strive to push further, the president noted.
