Lukashenko urges to make new university admission rules clear for everyone

MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) - Teachers, school leavers and their parents should know all the rules of the university admission campaign 2023, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a government meeting to discuss the development of the national education system on 23 August, BelTA has learned.

The main changes in accordance with the Education Code and the rules of admission will take effect in 2023, the president said. The new admission campaign will be launched with the start of this year's academic year in fact.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that the main principle of his education policy is the fair treatment of every person and equal opportunities for learning. “While thinking about this thesis I have made a conclusion that today we have more opportunities for this than ever before. This is true especially for employer-sponsored education. This format of learning is a great benefit. Those who did well at school have the opportunity to go to university,” the president said.
