
MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to pay a working visit to the Russian Federation on 24-25 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
On 24 May, the head of state is expected to attend a plenary session of the 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum in Moscow. Aleksandr Lukashenko will present Belarus' position and priorities on key issues of cooperation.
By tradition, the Eurasian Economic Forum is timed to the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council scheduled for 25 May. This year it will be its 30th edition.
The EAEU leaders will consider the implementation of decisions on strategic directions of Eurasian economic integration and take stock of the EAEU international activities. The agenda will also include issues related to the financing of joint cooperation projects in industries, liberalization in certain sectors of services, trade and economic cooperation with the main partners of the EAEU, the regulations of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and several other issues.
The Belarusian head of state will meet with his foreign counterparts and discuss bilateral cooperation issues on the sidelines of the events.
