Lukashenko to visit Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant

ORSHA DISTRICT, 11 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will go on a working trip to Vitebsk Oblast on 11 July where he will inspect Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state will be briefed about the company's financial and economic performance and its growth prospects. Alexander Lukashenko will get familiar with aircraft repair processes.

Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant was founded in 1941. In December 1956 it was relocated to the Bolbasovo airdrome in Orsha District. The company overhauls and upgrades military and civil aircraft, including various modifications of Mi-8 (Mi-17) and Mi-24 (Mi-35) helicopters. The company plans to start repairing Mi-26 helicopters and L-39 aircraft.
