Lukashenko to pay official visit to Kazakhstan on 24-25 October

MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on 24-25 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Belarusian head of state is expected to hold talks with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Nur-Sultan. The two leaders are set to discuss interstate relations with the focus on the expansion of trade and economic cooperation. “The presidents will talk over the prospects of expanding industrial and economic cooperation, including collaboration in agriculture, transport and logistics, the petrochemical sector, and IT,” the press service of the Belarusian head of state said.

The parties are expected to discuss cooperation within integration associations and in the international arena, and also the regional and world agendas. A package of bilateral agreements will be signed after the talks.

Nur-Sultan will play host to the Kazakhstan-Belarus business forum. The program will also include the opening of new buildings of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
