Lukashenko to discuss microelectronics industry prospects at Planar company

MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will tour the Planar holding company to discuss microelectronics industry development prospects, BelTA has learned.

The head of state will be briefed on the financial and economic performance and development prospects of the enterprise. He will see new samples of high-precision optomechanical equipment that was developed using laser technologies.

The Planar holding company was founded in 2014. It includes Plant Elektronmash and Optoelectronic Systems. Planar's core business is to develop and manufacture technological equipment for the production of microelectronic products.

In 2022, Planar increased exports by 70%. The average salary at the enterprise rose by almost 23%, and the cost of production decreased by 3%.
