MINSK, 21 July (BelTA) – The West triggered the war in Ukraine and continues it. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in an interview with the news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP), BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “You created it, this crisis. This artificial crisis was created by you. You triggered this war. It is not simply my conviction. I can prove it 100% with facts: you triggered and continue this war.”

Among other things Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention to France's involvement in events in Ukraine: France continues supplying weapons to Ukraine. Artillery systems Caesar have been recently handed over to Ukraine, additional shipments are planned.

“Russia knows how you are going to transport these Caesars over there. Once they arrive in Ukraine, they will be hit with high-precision weapons. This is why think whether you should do it or not. They [the Ukrainian side] will sell what will be delivered to Russia. You know that Ukrainian authorities have sold two Caesar systems to Russia. They have already been disassembled at a tank factory in Russia to find out what parts can be used. It is a fact,” he stated.
