BORISOV DISTRICT, 17 November (BelTA) – The government will continue helping Belarusians find jobs. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the relevant statement as he addressed employees of SZAO BelGee's newly opened car factory on 17 November, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko told the BelGee employees: “The BelGee factory is an example of how the state helps implement your potential. In no other country the government and the president — although it is certainly my job — pay so much attention to employment assistance the way it is done in Belarus. Yes, jobs are created over there, but people have to get up and move to the location of the job. We try to do things differently. We are going to clean things up in Zhodino, will help with housing, and will create jobs. I want you and your people to stay here. It is your land, you've grown accustomed to it. It is my policy. We do everything to give jobs to you and your kids.”
Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the level of salaries will depend on the performance of the workers. “In order to get paid well, first of all, you need good education. Or you need good skills, which can help you earn well without an education. Without smoking, drinking, or doing drugs. You also have to want to work,” said the Belarus president.
“I was walking along the conveyor belt, looking at young specialists. I saw that these people came here to earn well. They are glad they have clean jobs like these. We have an overwhelming majority of people like them. People like these will always earn well. We will always help such people. And we will force layabouts to work even without presidential decree No.3 [on preventing social dependency],” noted Alexander Lukashenko.
Alexander Lukashenko reminded that they had decided to put in order major Belarusian cities and towns within the next few years. “The process began with Orsha. It is a district capital just like Borisov but there are many more problems over there because we let things slide in the past. We are taking care of these cities and will bring them in order,” assured the Belarus president.More about President
