MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko tells the newly appointed local officials to be receptive and attentive to people's needs and to give priority attention to economic matters. He gave this instruction as he was announcing personnel decisions, BelTA has learned.
“As far as people are concerned, we have survived the year 2020. I often bring up this issue. It was a good lesson for us. You held different positions back then. Now you will be in leadership roles in respective district and regional administrations. Do not forget these lessons. Do not think that everything has calmed down. I hope to God that we will pass this period in our life quietly and calmly. This is our task. We will do it if our economy keeps functioning,” the Belarusian leader said.
“As I often say, please focus on the economy so that people can have everything they need, so that enterprises keep working, and people have jobs. Everything else is up to me. This is your task. Well, and also be very attentive to people,” added Aleksandr Lukashenko.
