MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the media how he is going to spend the day after casting his ballot in the 2020 Belarus presidential election, BelTA has learned.
“It will be a usual day. I cannot change anything at this very moment. Everything depends on the people who will come to the polling stations. This is not my first election. I have certain experience already. I will be waiting for the results, the same as all of you. I will simply wait,” the head of state said.
He was also asked whether he would run for re-election in case he wins the current poll. “If I am safe and sound, I will answer whether I will be running for the re-election. As for the confidence in winning the current campaign, I would not be so sure. I hope,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
