MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is taking part in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Bishkek, BelTA has learned.
The leaders of the EAEU member states will hold talks at the Ala Archa State Residence, the official presidential residence in Bishkek. The agenda of the summit includes 17 issues. Some of them, including cooperation in the manufacturing industry, the formation of common markets and the elimination of internal obstacles, will be discussed by the heads of state in a narrow-participation format.
The ongoing Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting is being held in person for the first time in the past three years. The last time the leaders of the EAEU countries met offline for the summit was in St. Petersburg on 20 December 2019. All subsequent summits in 2020-2022 were held by video link. At the same time, the heads of state have repeatedly met in person this year, but in other formats: at the SCO, CIS and CSTO summits.
