MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 140 “On property disposal” on 8 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
The document will be in effect till 31 December 2023. It establishes a special procedure for accounting for property. The new procedure allows organizations to write off losses arising from property disposal (transfer, write-off or sale) at the expense of additional capital and retained earnings, as well as to enter the property received free of charge into the accounting books at the value stated by the transferring party, without a market valuation.
“The decree is aimed at reducing the costs associated with the gratuitous transfer, write-off or sale of property incurred by the transferring party and the receiving organization,” the press service noted.
The head of state signed a similar decree in 2017. It was valid until 2021.
