Lukashenko signs decree on university enrollment campaign in 2020

MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Belarusian head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No.155 on the organization of the enrollment campaign in educational institutions 2020, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

According to the document, a state commission has been set up to monitor the preparation and conduct of entrance tests in institutions of higher learning and vocational education in 2020. Its powers have been defined.

The commission has comprised members of the government and the Council of the Republic, members of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, heads of government bodies, representatives of public organizations and supervisory agencies. Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko has been appointed chairman of the commission.

The commission will monitor the organization of the centralized testing, and other forms of entrance tests, and ensure that entrants are provided with equal opportunities for entering establishments of higher learning and vocational education. The commission will also take measures to eliminate violations of the entrance rules, receive citizens to answer questions concerning the organization of entrance tests, and provide media coverage of its activities.
