MINSK DISTRICT, 31 December (BelTA) – While talking to reporters as well as employees of the National Applied Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology on 31 December Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko shared his New Year wish with them, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted: “I desire only one thing: I want the people to say thank you at some point for what we've accomplished in this period of time. We've done a lot – big things look right from afar. We were lucky that you and we have built the first sovereign and independent state.”
According to the president, the event may not seem that big of a deal for some people now. “Time will pass and we will tell children and grandchildren: ‘Look, we've done it.' In other words, we've raised the bar quite high, so you will have to jump,” he stressed.
