MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the people of Croatia as the country celebrates Statehood Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Despite today's challenges, the peoples of Belarus and Croatia remain true to themselves and their Motherland, show their peaceful character and feel responsibility for the future of their countries. Belarusians respect the ability of Croatians to listen to others and stick to their own opinion at the same time, their determination to be themselves and adhere to their vision of things that often goes against the trends in modern Europe,” the message of congratulations reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that bilateral relations should be based on trust, good neighborliness and cooperation, that it is necessary to boost trade and economic contacts, to step up supplies of goods and services.

“We support efforts to build business contacts and hold joint events through the chambers of commerce and industry and through companies,” the head of state said.
