MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to workers and veterans of emergency service on the occasion of Rescuers Day and the 20th anniversary of the Belarusian emergency service. The message of greetings was read out by State Secretary of the Security Council Stanislav Zas at the anniversary meeting of the Emergencies Ministry on 18 January, BelTA informs.
Alexander Lukashenko remarked that today emergency workers can promptly and efficiently fulfill their duties and continue the traditions of the past generations of rescuers with dignity.
“Your work is very difficult and risky, it requires exceptional physical and mental strength,” the president stressed. “You are in charge of protecting the lives and health of people, objects of the national economy and the interests of the state from fires, catastrophes and natural disasters. You always support people living in our country.”
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that commitment, courage, bravery and selflessness of Belarusian rescuers will be a reliable shield protecting the country and its people from any emergencies.
