MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the organizers and participants of the 6th forum called as Sanctity of Motherhood, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Over the time of its existence the forum became an important platform for discussing topical issues such as family protection between politicians, social figures and representatives of public organizations. The family builds the foundation of spiritual values and traditions of the nation,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state remarked that Belarus draws much attention to the protection of maternity and childhood. The country has one of the lowest rates of maternal and infant mortality, has made significant progress in reproductive heathcare.
Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that the forum will encourage its participants to share experience, devise interesting ideas and new initiatives to strengthen the institution of the family, promote international cooperation for happiness and health of our children, benefit future generations. The president wished the organizers and participants of the forum productive work and unforgettable impressions from their stay in the hospitable Belarusian capital.
