MINSK, 22 July (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent his condolences to the family of Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The president stressed the loss of the prominent international figure who devoted his life to the idea of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, development and use of peaceful atomic energy to maintain the well-being throughout the world. “Thanks to his wisdom, foresight and fruitful work he has rightfully earned recognition and respect throughout the world,” the president said.
