Lukashenko sends anniversary greetings to Vitebsk Medical University

MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the personnel of the Vitebsk State Medical University as the institution of higher education celebrates its 85th anniversary, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

According to the head of state, national healthcare has been steadily developing over the last decades, demonstrating significant progress in advanced methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the population. Cutting-edge technologies are mastered, new medications are developed. “The credit for this goes largely to the university, which carefully preserves the best traditions of education and science, actively develops international cooperation, ensures a high level of knowledge and quality of personnel training,” the message of greetings reads.

The president thanked the staff of the university for high professionalism, boundless dedication and constant striving for perfection. “The history of the university has been created by outstanding teachers and graduates: prominent figures of various industries, holders of prestigious state awards, academicians, managers of efficient enterprises,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
