Lukashenko receives birthday greetings from foreign leaders

MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has received birthday greeting from numerous foreign leaders and public figures, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian president.

The Belarusian head of state received a number of phone calls from his foreign counterparts who wanted to congratulate him in person, including Russia President Vladimir Putin, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon. The parties used the occasion to discuss the current agenda and cooperation prospects in the bilateral format and within international organizations.

China President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message saying that the Chinese-Belarusian relations have never been better.

Aleksandr Lukashenko also received birthday greetings from Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro, Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, as well as other high-ranking officials, heads of Russia's regions and international organizations.

Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko, leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov, and Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov extended their greetings to the Belarusian president over the phone.

Birthday greetings also came from figures of culture and art, renowned athletes and public figures of Belarus and Russia, for example, Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva and famous artist Nikas Safronov.

Birthday greetings to the Belarusian president keep coming in.
