MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) - Lukashenko raised the issue of the availability of cattle stock at dairy complexes as soon as he arrived in Vetka on 28 April, BelTA has learned.
The head of state asked whether the new and upgraded milking complexes had enough dairy stock. He was told that there still was a shortage of the herd, but the work continued to address the issue.
“If we do not deliver the cattle to the technological facilities - dairy complexes, where cows are not milked by hand, not in the milk pipe, but in the milking parlor - we will not get any milk and there will be no quality,” the Belarusian leader said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that all the dairy complexes should be provided with livestock, because otherwise the invested funds would not pay off. “You can blame yourself if you do not provide new and upgraded complexes with dairy stock,” he warned. The task was set both for Gomel Oblast and the country in general. The task is relevant for various regions.
According to the head of state, the kind of cattle used at the complexes and the level of maintenance and care were of crucial importance. One of the main indicators is milk yield, which cannot be lower than the average national and regional level. “We have built these complexes to get twice as much milk yield,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The head of state was also reported on the progress made in spring field work, the state of the winter crops, and the work to consolidate and unite farms.
Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized the need of applying mineral fertilizers. “We have enough fertilizers. Apply them,” he said.
