ST. PETERSBURG, 18 July (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin worked out new initiatives to deepen integration between the two countries during the talks in St. Petersburg, Belarus' Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi told the media, BelTA has learned.
“The presidents exchanged the views, put forward some new initiatives and tasked the governments with working them out,” Dmitry Krutoi said. For the time being the parties have agreed on 80% of the positions but the remaining are of fundamental importance.
According to the minister, the goal is to develop a program for further integration and a roadmap by December when the countries celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Union State Treaty. In addition, the task has been set to reach fundamental agreements on the current issues, primarily on the gas price.More about President
