Lukashenko, Putin to meet in a week

ST PETERSBURG, 6 December (BelTA) – Vladimir Putin and I are planning to meet in a week to discuss a number of issues on the bilateral agenda, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in a brief interview to journalists on the sidelines of the EAEU and CIS summits in St Petersburg, BelTA has learned.

“We agreed that the vice premiers of Belarus and Russia will meet on Monday or Tuesday to discuss the issues, primarily the tax maneuver,” the Belarus president said. A meeting of the Belarus-Russia Union State Council of Ministers chaired by Dmitry Medvedev will be held on Thursday. These issues will be also on the agenda. And next week we will meet with the Russian president to dot all the i's to make sure we do not drag the unsettled issues into the new year again. This is what we have agreed on, among other things,” said the Belarusian leader.
